About Michael

I began my career as my Father’s and Grandfather’s apprentice helping with motorbike and car projects. I started off-road Trials riding at 14 and serviced my own bikes.

After leaving school I completed an indentured apprenticeship working on many types and sizes of vehicles working as a mechanic/technician, progressed into fleet management and lecturing at colleges.

In 1984 I established myself as an independent consultant motor engineer specialising in inspections of vehicles including heavy & light commercials/passenger carrying vehicles, cars, motorcycles and failure of components providing engineer’s reports and CPR Part 35 Compliant expert’s reports for litigation. I can audit and review documentation and have produced quality management systems to I.S.O. 9000 standards.

I carry out all the inspections personally, I do not subcontract and do not have any contracts with other organisations e.g. insurance companies, warranty companies and consequently I am totally independent.

I have accepted instructions from; individuals, dealers, repairers, solicitors, insurance companies, warranty companies, Trading Standards Departments, The National Conciliation Service, The Retail Motor Industry Federation Ltd. and Vehicle/Component Manufacturers.

I will accept instructions from; solicitors representing Claimants and Defendants in Civil cases and CPS/Police and Defendants in Criminal Cases.

I have produced reports and presented my expert evidence in both Criminal and Civil Courts for many years including ones with national media interest/coverage.

I am a vehicle enthusiast, have built/rebuilt cars and motorbikes to show winning standards, prepared my own vehicles and competed in Motor-sport and Mountain bike events.
